FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Do I need to pay a registration fee to rent a property from Horizon Property rentals?
A: No, we do not charge a fee for finding you an apartment.
Q: How long does it take the average client to find an apartment?
A: Our records indicate that our average client is on our service for 8 to 10 days time. Naturally what type of apartment that you are looking for, your budget, how flexible you are, are going to make a difference.
Horizon Property Rentals is here to work with you until you have decided upon the apartment of your choice - no matter how long it takes.
Q: If I have never rented an apartment before, will this hinder me?
A: It will depend upon your income as well as your credit. If your income is not in compliance with the landlords requirements they will ask for a guarantor.
Q: What is a guarantor?
A: A guarantor is someone who will go on your lease with you and will guarantee to pay the rent if you do not. Generally a guarantor is needed if the applicants earnings are not high enough to meet landlord standards, or if credit has been a problem in the past.
Q: Does everyone living in the apartment have to be on the lease?
A: Not really, however, but it is for your benefit to be on the lease, especially if you are in a roommate situation.
Q: If I put an application in on an apartment does that mean that I will automatically get it?
A: No. It means that you are being considered for it. Keep on looking at apartments until you get a call telling you where to show up to sign the lease.
